Ducati Desmosedici #1 Francesco Bagnaia 2023 Custom

Ducati will feature a special livery for the MotoGP San Marino GP race this afternoon at Misano, just as it did in the World Superbike round, with its bike painted in «Giallo Ducati» yellow. In addition to the Desmosedici GP, Francesco Bagnaia’s leather suit and the team members’ clothes will also be yellow. The bike’s livery was designed by Aldo Drudi based on the original graphics. In addition to Giallo Ducati, there are details in black, gray, and white, in a celebration of the manufacturer’s history in competition, all while giving a modern identity. Indeed, yellow is a color that means a lot for Ducati, adorning several sports bikes from the 1970s with this color. Its popularity grew in the 1990s when it made its way into racing world in the World Superbike and Supersport Championships before extending to mass production. Andrea Ferraresi, Director of Strategy and Centro Stile Ducati, said in a press release: ‘Ducati is red and like all strong brands it identifies a lot with its colour, thanks to which it positions itself in the collective imagination of enthusiasts. The Giallo Ducati that we see today on the Desmosedici GP is a colour that in the past has often been paired with red, thus becoming part of our identity and our tradition. The decision to race at Misano with the official MotoGP and WorldSBK teams dressed in this colour is a tribute to our sporting history in the year in which we race as world champions in the two most important motorcycle championships and it is also a sign of the desire to return to having Giallo Ducati as the second official colour of our company’.
